About the Authors

Charles (“Chip”) vK. Carlson is the President, Portfolio Manager and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Corbyn Investment Management.  He is also the President, Portfolio Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Greenspring Fund.  Chip began his career as an analyst in 1983 and became a Portfolio Manager in 1987. A 1982 graduate of The Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in Political Economy, he earned the right to use the CFA designation in 1986.  Chip is married, has three children, and enjoys coaching lacrosse, playing tennis and platform tennis, and reading.

Michael J. Fusting is the Portfolio Manager – Equities and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Corbyn Investment Management.  He is also the Sr. Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Greenspring Fund.  Mike graduated from Loyola University Maryland in 1983 with a B.A. in Accounting and joined Corbyn as an analyst in 1989.  He earned the right to use the CFA designation in 1994.  Mike is married, has three children, and enjoys fly fishing, hiking and reading.

Michael A. Goodman is a senior investment analyst for Corbyn Investment Management. Mike graduated magna cum laude from Carleton College in 2003 with a B.A. in Psychology and joined Corbyn as an analyst in 2009.  He earned the right to use the CFA designation in 2006.  Mike is married, has one child, and enjoys playing golf, watching movies and following sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Navy Midshipmen.

Michael J. Pulcinella is the Portfolio Manager – Fixed Income and Head Trader for Corbyn Investment Management. Mike graduated from Fairfield University, Dolan School of Business, in 1999 with a B.S. in Finance and a Minor in Economics. He joined Corbyn as a trader and analyst in 2012.  Prior to joining Corbyn, he served in several trading roles in the institutional fixed income market in Baltimore and New York. He is married, has two children, and enjoys coaching youth sports, playing golf, skiing and live music.

George A. Truppi is a senior investment analyst for Corbyn Investment Management. George graduated from Rutgers University in 2005 with a B.S. in Finance and a Minor in Statistics and joined Corbyn as an analyst in 2019.  He earned the right to use the CFA designation in 2015.  George is married, has one child, and enjoys skiing, playing tennis, and hiking with his dog.
